Three Decades of Aviation Services...
Avgroup is the leading provider of avionics and rotable parts support in corporate class aviation. Specializing in turbine-powered aircraft, Avgroup stocks and distributes thousands of parts through its worldwide network, while maintaining the highest levels of quality and customer service. In 1971, Avgroup's owner and President, Ed Tomberlin, started Airtronics South, an FAA-certified avionics repair and installation facility at Charlie Brown Airport, serving the general aviation market in Atlanta. In 1976, the company's name was changed to Avionics Sales as distribution of avionics was becoming a major focus. Six years later, in 1982, seeing a need in general aviation for rotables support, Avionics Sales started a new company, Turbine Air Parts, which followed the same model of exchange sales that Avionics Sales had pursued with success. Finally, in 1991, the two companies merged to form Avgroup, Inc. Since then, Avgroup has moved to larger facilities in Atlanta, added a remote sales office in Wichita, and developed relationships with international partners who carry Avgroup inventory in Singapore and Europe.
Jetparts Exchange ...
The core of Avgroup's services is our provision of after-market parts support for most corporate class aircraft including Citations, Challenger, King Air, Hawker 125 Series and BeechJet/Hawker 400XP. We sell on an exchange basis, which reduces turn times and limits the customer's need to manage inventory. The heart of our Jetparts Exchange service is our commitment to high quality standards. This high quality, when coupled with the pricing discounts we can offer because of the volume pricing we receive on the overhaul and repair of our units, results in the best overall value available for rotable parts support.
Jetparts Logistics...
Avgroup sells and ships parts to customers worldwide including fleet operators, FBO's, MRO facilities, flight departments and owner-operators. Similarly, because of the volume and variety of the parts we sell, we have relationships with hundreds of repair stations around the world. Our Jetparts Logistics service capitalizes on these facts by offering the benefits of our existing distribution processes and customer and vendor networks to other aerospace companies, from end users to OEMs, who are in need of logistics support. Under the Jetparts Logistics program, Avgroup has provided inventory management services for fleet operators, and has been chosen by ACSS to be the Exchange Rental Service Provider for the ACSS TCAS product line. Using Avgroup, these clients have saved millions of dollars in overhead, while maintaining the highest standards of quality and customer service.
Avionics Support...
Our roots are firmly planted in avionics support, and we continue to maintain that tradition. Avgroup operates an avionics repair station that features quick turnaround, OEM quality, fair pricing, a capabilities list of over 1,300 items, and is dual-certified to offer both US (#GT4R218M) and international (EASA.145.4187) certifications. In addition, Avgroup is a stocking distributor of avionics lines from every major avionics manufacturer including Honeywell, Collins, Garmin, ACSS and more. In support of these distributorships, our line services division offers avionics system troubleshooting, installation and repair at Peachtree-Dekalb Airport (PDK).
Quality Control...
At Avgroup, "quality control" is more than a catchphrase - it is a business model. We have always strived to offer the highest quality parts, seeking out vendors who meet our exhaustive standards. Even when the competition offers cheaper alternatives, we simply will not compromise our controls, because to do so would reduce the reliability of the parts we sell. Over the years, this stance has been rewarded by our having been named an Approved Supplier to Bombardier, Gulfstream, Raytheon, and Saab. In 2006, our desire to maintain the highest quality standards led us to pursue ISO certification. In July of 2007, after a meticulous process, Avgroup was awarded ISO 9001:2000 + AS9120:2002 registration by QMI, the premier provider of ISO registration services for the aerospace industry, in July 2007.
Customer Service...
With an extensive inventory on site in Atlanta, 24-hour AOG service, extended sales hours, and a remote sales office in Wichita, our ability to respond to customer needs is unsurpassed. We even offer international support through Avgroup consignment inventory located with partners in Singapore and Europe. For those customers who don't need quick turns or have their own spares inventory, we offer repair management services which allow customers to get their own parts repaired through Avgroup's vendor network, benefiting from both our quality control procedures and volume pricing.
